Some safety-product questions are easy to answer. “Which 3M respirator should I buy?” isn’t one of them. Neither is “Should I get a Speedglas 3M welding helmet?” or “Can you buy Loop earplugs in store?” If I gave you a single yes-or-no answer, I would be guessing at your situation.
Here’s the truth: the right product depends on what you are doing, how often you are doing it, and what it costs you if the protection fails. Are you welding eight hours a day in a fabrication shop, or repairing a fence gate on a Saturday? Are you spraying solvent-based stain along a fence line, or just laying mulch in a flower bed? Those are different questions with different answers.

But here’s the part I care about: what are you using them for? Loop makes good products for concerts, studying, and sleeping. I’m not going to knock them. Is this personal or workplace use? For work, you have standards to meet and fit tests to complete. For home use, you’re the safety manager—so hold yourself to the same standard.
My honest advice: don’t get caught up in product names. Start with the exposure and the frequency, then match a product to the real risk. When in doubt, calculate the total cost of ownership: the purchase price, the consumables, the time, and the price of getting it wrong. The cheapest product can get expensive the first time it fails.
